Shipping Supervisor

Full time


Collect weight reports and record production on orders

Daily check schedule board for production and orders for shipments

Prepare BOL’s and use CTSI to secure carriers

Schedule appointments for all incoming raw material and maintain files

Supervise the following: inside trucker, loader, clamp operator, waste baler, and palletizing operators

Prepare preliminary shipping schedule for customer service

Prepare daily shipping report

Prepare releases for all shipments from the warehouse

Must be Certified for Hazardous Material Transportation

Assist Production Supervisors on the floor when necessary

Weekly GMP Walk in the Plant and monthly SUSA Audits

Must be trained as train the trainer for fork lifts

Monitor the status of raw material in the warehouse

Attend daily production and team meetings

Provide support for on the job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives

Clearly communicate expectations to employees on shift

Fluent in English


Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university preferred

Prior Work Experience:

3 - 5 years’ shipping experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Or a combination of education and applicable work experience will be considered

Experience with shipping database / software

Microsoft Office Applications with emphasis on Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel

General schedule is Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.  However, employees may be required to work alternate schedules, including early mornings, nights, and/or weekends

Occasional travel may be required, including flying, driving, riding or travel by rail

Use all personal protective equipment provided by the company and in compliance with OSHA regulations
